Dan Rice– Helicopter Reporter/Photojournalist

Currently the midday reporter and camera operator in WABC-TV’s NewsCopter 7, Mr. Rice has been flying over the skies of the Tri-State area for close to nineteen years. Prior to his work with WABC-TV, he was the lead reporter/camera operator for almost ten years in WNBC’s Chopper 4, and before that as a reporter/camera operator in WCBS-TV’s Chopper 2. In addition to his daily coverage of breaking news events, he has covered numerous major stories over the years including the Crash of TWA Flight 800, the death of John F. Kennedy, Jr., the blackout of 2003, and two separate crane collapses in 2008, and while at NBC appeared on “Today” and “The Nightly News” as well as MSNBC.
