Join us for coffee and conversation with Richard Dreyfuss who will discuss “The Dreyfuss Initiative…what it is and how it can help you if you are an educator or a media professional.”
Leaving our kids in the dark and untrained about how to be an expert at Republican Democracy is virulent, absurd and ultimately fatal. It enlarges a problem that, as long as it goes unacknowledged, will grow in potency and extend in reach. Civics is no longer taught in American Public Schools. What remnants remain have been reduced to “The Three Branches of Government” and “How to Pass a Bill through Congress,” neither of which resembles American political reality. The Dreyfuss Initiative’s (TDI) mission is to revive, elevate and enhance the teaching of what we used to call civics and what TDI now calls Political Power, both in theory and in practice in the United States of America.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED DUE TO BUILDING SECURITY. ALL NAMES MUST BE ON GUEST LIST.
