Synopsis: In 1976 a small American winery sent the wine industry into a tizzy by besting the exalted French wines in a blind tasting and put California wines on the map. Jim Barrett sacrificed everything to realize his dream of creating the perfect hand-crafted Chardonnay. Meanwhile in Paris, British expatriate Steven Spurrier had a little idea; a publicity stunt to have a blind tasting between French's finest wine and California's. Little did Steven and Jim realize that they were both on course to change the history of wine forever.
