MSNBC Anchor & Correspondent

Christina Brown is an Emmy® award-winning anchor and journalist. She hosts the Early Today morning show for NBC News as well as First Look on MSNBC Cable Network. Brown is based in New York City, at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the NBC News headquarters. She is a military veteran and member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

In many ways, one could say Brown turned in her M-16, for a microphone and in doing so, accepted a different kind of responsibility. As a journalist, she is a witness to the events that shape our lives.

Brown’s journey into television news began as a military broadcaster. She began her radio and television career after enlisting in the U.S. Air Force.

Brown spent the first few years of military service overseas in southern Japan. She later moved to Texas, to work for Air Force Television News, in San Antonio. She left the military to join KTSM-TV, in El Paso, Texas, as an anchor and reporter. After two years in El Paso, Brown moved to Las Vegas, where she joined ABC affiliate, KTNV-TV.

She spent five years in Las Vegas, before joining NBC News & MSNBC Cable Network as an anchor and correspondent. Christina Brown is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Pacific Southwest Chapter and New York Women in Film and Television.
